. . . . I am not that hard to please.
I have been anticipating December 22nd ever since the November announcement that Chad Brannon would be making a brief cameo to help usher Rebecca out of town. Who knew the writers would chose now to start using the English language precisely? "Brief" was right!
Chad Brannon was on for exactly one minute and seventeen seconds.
But it was a good one minute and seventeen seconds.
It would be easy to get bogged down in remembering how royally screwed the character of Zander got in the end by the unimaginative writers, or how Guza couldn't see beyond his Jason-love to write for anyone else once Steve Burton returned. It would be easy to be annoyed that the writers could only spare seventy-seven seconds for the return of a much-loved actor, but have plenty of time for Lisa and Robin to have the same conversation about Patrick's bachelor days over and over again.
Instead, I'm going to focus on what a rare acknowledgment of history this was (it would have been better with Amber Tamblyn of course), how adorable and engaging Chad was, and the fact that the ill-conceived Rebecca is gone, gone, gone! from Port Charles.
Combine that Zander-fix with a slice of Cake - -
And I am definitely on a sugar-high.
Happy Holidays to me!
Now, why can't Guza do this the rest of the year?
