Wow, this is embarrassing. So, remember last week when I announced that the allure of a Johnny/Carly pairing was pulling me back to the dark side and I was going to start watching General Hospital again?
Big mistake.
In addition to scruffyhotJohnny reeling from the news that Claudia was his mother and not his sister (more on that later) there was also Robin's impending death, Lulu's sudden lush-dom, Anthony and Tracy's marriage, Dr. Niles part deux, and something or other with Spinelli and Maxie that requires them both to be on-screen more than I can stand. Honestly, this show isn't for the faint of heart or those with suicidal tendencies. Also, Jason has swelling in his brain . . . . again? Please tell me this is Carlivati and that he intends to bring Jason Quartermaine back, because otherwise, sitting through this story again may just kill me.
Dude, last week sucked toxic balls.
Even the part I was really looking forward to was kinda mediocre. I thoroughly enjoyed Johnny's confrontation with Anthony, his orchid-murdering rampage and his self-destructive decision to blow up Sonny's warehouse and kiss Carly, but the rest was a cluster.
Explain to me why Gino Soleito, a deceased character from another show is popping up in every other storyline these days. Why was Trevor Lansing not revealed to be Johnny's father? Because, that would have had great potential. It would have explained why Claudia hated him so much, and it would have made Ric and Johnny brothers, which would be awesome because Rick Hearst could come back and the two of them could team-up to take down Sonny once and for all, which really needs to happen like yesterday.
You know what didn't suck last week - - Castle. I may have to use a little literary license here and recap Castle instead of General Hospital, you know, for the sake of my sanity.
