. . . . if Garin Wolf and company aren't careful, I'm going to start despising them as much as I do Bob Guza (okay, that's clearly an empty threat, I couldn't possibly loathe anyone the way that I do Bob Guza).
But seriously, no sooner had news broken that Lexi Ainsworth had been let go, presumably due to her youthful appearance, (because lord knows Sonny's rebellious teenage daughter had no storyline potential whereas Sonny's rebellious twenty-something daughter does) comes news that Jonathan Jackson is electing to leave General Hospital effective almost immediately.
Darn it JJ, my scathing rebuttal for Lexi Ainsworth's ouster was going to be: "since when do TPTB actually care if an actor plays too young for a role, just slap a bit of straggly facial hair on Kristina and go!".
Way to ruin that righteous indignation for me, grrr.
Seriously, this really blows. One of the few things General Hospital has going for it on a consistent basis is the ACTING. Unfortunately, the number of actors who I find "must-watch" is dwindling fast.
It will be a slow EXODUS.
Quartermaine's are gone. Spencer's are bleeding.
We will be called "NEWBIE HOSPITAL" until cancellation. Katie Couric is hiding in the wings.
So sad for fans.

I think it's disgusting that Lexi is being let go because she's not "sexy enough", or at least that's what I've read. She looked pretty grown up to me in her last few scenes. As for Jonathan, I say good luck to him. They killed off his character's son, his wife, he's been such a big part of GH and they treated him terribly. Can I just say something about the rape of Sam by Franco --this is supposed to be a soap for women, so why are women always being beaten, raped, etc. It's so abusive and women should start speaking against the writers, if they haven't already. Just had to get this off my chest.

I'm actually not convinced Franco raped Sam...He's icky and all but something says he didn't do it but wants Jason and Sam to think he did...
As for JJ, I will miss him but wish him well. It's unfortunate his character has faded so fast...
