After rave reviews for Friday's carnival kick-off, I found Tuesday's episode to be a bit of a letdown.
It's hard to articulate the problem exactly, but I think it had to do with the presence of armed thugs and the lack of hunks being dunked.
Ahh, Friday, good times.
A few thoughts on Tuesday's episode:
Coleman
hosting the rigged shooting gallery while Alexis & Sonny argued about teaching children to play with guns and Jason & Sam flirted cute = win
Robin accusing Andrea Floyd of Brianna's murder in broad daylight without a shred of proof
and expecting Edward to back her up = lose Brief allusion to Scrubs
locker room sex = win. Let's call this one a draw.
Kristina, Claudia, Keifer, whatever
= lose
Michael getting his fortune read - - seriously, the writers are going with "brain damage makes you psychic"?
= lose
Dominic & Lulu, peas in a bribing pod
= win
Alexis and her fear of shoddily constructed carnival rides
(a woman after my own heart) = mega win
Sonny and Olivia literally bumpinto each other and reminisce about the good old days (including the loss of her virginity - ick
). After a brief foray into charming on Friday, Sonny's back to slimy today = lose
Nikolas going further off the rails and bragging about his dastardly revenge plan to Ethan
= lose
Three seconds of Liz, Lucky & Jake
carousel goodness = win, tempered by the return of Jason's longing glances
at the family he could have had = lose. Ultimately, another draw.
Anthony Zacchara encouraging his henchman to "be proactive"
(crazy Papa Zucchini gets the best one-liners) = win
The closing montage - -
I really dug the song choice, and I'm a sucker for John Ingle, so I'm going to cautiously go with = win.
Stay tuned tommorow for what is bound to be "edge of your seat" entertainment in one way or another - - either exciting or nausea-inducing.
